Placing people in well-paying jobs and developing the workforce are some of Tracy Richardson’s top priorities. She understands that for our communities to attract and retain jobs, we need to have a trained and developed workforce. Especially in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Tracy is committed to getting the people of Union and Marion counties working again. She knows that economic growth leads to enhanced quality of life for all. As state representative, she has cut red tape that harms job and business growth.

SAFEGUARDING OUR TAX DOLLARS
Tracy Richardson knows that you work hard for your money and believes you should keep more of what you earn. That’s why she voted for an across-the-board income tax cut for all Ohio taxpayers. Tracy has worked tirelessly to use tax dollars wisely and balance the state budget. She earnestly and routinely looks for ways to cut wasteful government spending.

Standing With Law Enforcement
Tracy Richardson believes freedom is a fundamental right of every American. She understands that freedom must be preserved and exercised responsibly. She honors the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, and other safety personnel. We can trust Tracy to defend our constitutional rights, freedoms, and values. As state representative, Tracy Richardson will continue to support the men and women in uniform who prevent violence in our communities and protect us. She will fight any effort to defund our police and believes they deserve our respect for putting their lives on the line for us every single day.

SUPPORTING EDUCATION
As a parent and West Point graduate, Tracy Richardson knows the importance of a quality, well-rounded education. She supports the hard work of teachers in and out of the classroom and wants all students to succeed. Richardson opposes excessive testing and will fight for local control of our schools. Tracy Richardson knows a safe, nurturing classroom is paramount for children and is concerned about the impact of remote learning. She is actively working to make sure our schools are fairly funded to prevent unnecessary school levies and to foster an environment where all students can learn and grow.

PREVENTING ADDICTION AND TREATING MENTAL HEALTH
Fighting the scourge of drug addiction and improving mental health have been passions of Tracy Richardson’s long before her election into public office. She has volunteered as a parent and as a city leader on the Drug Free Coalition for many years to help prevent alcohol and drug addiction particularly among youth and teens. Richardson is working collaboratively with legislators on both sides of the aisle to improve mental health and addiction services statewide and voted to protect and assist victims of domestic violence.

ADVOCATING FOR AGRICULTURE
For more than 200 years, agriculture has been Ohio’s #1 industry and we are fortunate that our district has a robust agriculture community. Tracy Richardson has always admired the work ethic and discipline of local farmers in Union and Marion counties. She will continue to be a strong advocate for them to ensure their farms and their families can thrive and their quality of life is preserved.
