She understands that for our communities to attract and retain jobs, we need to have a trained and developed workforce. She believes hard-working Ohioans deserve a strong economy which provides opportunities for individuals and families. As state representative, she has cut red tape that harms job and business growth. Her strong pro-business voting record earned Tracy one of the highest ratings from the National Federation of Independent Business of Ohio.

Tracy Richardson knows that you work hard for your money and believes you should keep more of what you earn. That’s why she has voted numerous times for across-the-board income tax cuts for all Ohio taxpayers. Tracy has worked tirelessly to use tax dollars wisely and balance the state budget. She earnestly and routinely looks for ways to cut wasteful government spending. Tracy believes that small and limited government is best.

Standing With Law Enforcement
Tracy Richardson believes freedom is a fundamental right of every American. She understands that freedom must be preserved and exercised responsibly. Stopping crime is fundamental to the quality of life of all citizens. She honors the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, and other safety personnel. We can trust Tracy to defend our constitutional rights, freedoms, and values including our right to bear arms. As state representative, she knows we have a fundamental right to protect ourselves and consistently votes to protect our Second Amendment rights. Tracy Richardson will continue to support the men and women in uniform who prevent violence in our communities and protect us. She will fight any effort to defund our police and believes they deserve our respect for putting their lives on the line for us every single day. Tracy is Pro-Life and defends the rights of the unborn. She is also genuinely committed to addressing the concerns of women.
As a parent and West Point graduate, Tracy Richardson knows the importance of a quality, well-rounded education. She supports the dedication of teachers in and out of the classroom and wants all students to succeed. Richardson opposes excessive testing and fights for local control of our schools. She works to make certain that parents play a significant role in ensuring their children are getting a quality education. Tracy Richardson knows a safe, nurturing classroom is paramount for children. She is committed to evaluating costs of education to fairly fund schools and prevent unnecessary school levies while actively supporting the needs of parents to make their own choice of schools. As the Chairwoman of the Finance Subcommittee for K-12 funding, she proudly championed universal school choice and ensured public schools were fairly funded. The goal is to foster opportunity and provide an environment where every student can learn and grow.
PREVENTING ADDICTION AND TREATING MENTAL HEALTH
Fighting the scourge of drug addiction and improving mental health have been passions of Tracy Richardson’s long before her election into public office. She has volunteered as a parent and as a city leader on the Drug Free Coalition for many years to help prevent alcohol and drug addiction particularly among youth and teens. Richardson is working collaboratively with legislators on both sides of the aisle to improve mental health and addiction services statewide. She voted to implement the 988 Suicide Hotline and voted to protect and assist victims of domestic violence. Tracy is a tireless Anti-Human Trafficking advocate!

For more than 200 years, agriculture has been Ohio’s #1 industry and we are fortunate that our district has a robust agriculture community. Tracy Richardson has always admired the work ethic and discipline of local farmers in Union and Marion counties. She will continue to be a strong advocate for them to ensure their farms and their families can thrive and their quality of life is preserved.
